Room Makeovers That Used Colours

Getting creative in your home with colours can be an inexpensive way to refresh your space. Colours should make you feel good and it should be able to boost your mood. Beyond just painting your walls, you can add colour to your home by choosing room accents, pieces of furniture, beddings, and furnishings that will add a dollop of fun and energy to any room.

Get your tools ready because you've got some colouring to do! Here are awesome room makeovers using colour that you can take note of:

1. This boy's bedroom used to be dull and boring. But with the help of colour, his whole room—not just this corner—was transformed into a playful and interesting one, which is suitable for a growing kid. The owner of this home painted her son's room in deep space blue that added richness and vibrancy to the space. The colour of choice was the perfect backdrop for every element that was added in the room. She also added a storage bench in one corner and repainted the store-bought wardrobe, which balanced the look of the space.

2. Paint is one of the most affordable tools in transforming a room in your home. This guest bathroom needed some refurbishing since its peachy dark tan-coloured walls made it dark and uninviting. To lighten up the space, the owners changed the colours of the walls and painted the cabinets white. See the transformation that the paint made, which added warmth and personality to the space. The monochromatic look was further spruced up by adding a multi-toned backsplash for more depth and character.

3. When not used properly, colour can contribute to the cluttered look of a space. Treat your room to a more neutral colour—the soothing grey and blue colour palette gave this space a calming coastal vibe. Changing the colour of the pillowcases as well contributed to a cleaner and cohesive look.

4. Even though this room was painted mostly in white and grey, it has a certain spunk and character to it, given that pops of colour were added here and there. Loads of colourful stuff and pattern such as bright pillows, colourful lamps, and a bold patterned rug made the room livelier and interesting to look at.

5. Let your space have its own personality by choosing colours that suit your lifestyle. This once cold and stark guest bedroom was given an update by using colour. It now has a subtle beach vibe.
