1. The Shophouse

With a humble beginning as a teak importer, The Shophouse has evolved and expanded over the past 20 years into a retailer and design house that provides interior design styling services. This Singapore favourite stocks a range of Asian-inspired pieces from design classics to contemporary pieces. They also have a range of ceramic ware that is exclusively available in their shop.

2. Scene Shang

The Roaring Twenties was an era of riches and technological booms for Europe, and saw the spread of Western design influence to Shanghai. With the aim of reliving the energetic and luxurious lifestyle of this era, Scene Shang features a range of pieces that fuses European Art Deco style with Chinese elements.

3. Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle

Founded in 1965 by Tan Kim Seh, Thow Kwang started off producing glazed pottery cups for nearby rubber plantations and eventually adapted to new market demands by increasing its production of pots in various shapes and sizes. They provide a selection of vases, urn, statues, lamps, and more from all over Asia. Right beside the shop is Singapore’s oldest dragon kiln that is open to the public for free.

4. AsiaBox Living

This shop's old gems are sourced from various era from ancient history China to the kampungs of Malaysia. The shop also carries modern Asian-inspired pieces such as Chinese kitchen cabinets, Tibetan leather chests, drawers, and sofas. In addition to these traditional pieces, they also stock contemporary furniture from brands such as Box Furniture.

5. Frangipani Homes

Both their new and rare vintage furniture are sourced from Southeast Asian countries such as China, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and India. They have a showroom that highlights the store's new range of teak and mahogany furniture and accessories from Indonesia and Thailand.

6. Fairprice Antique

Based in Singapore for more than 17 years, Fairprice Antique caters to both the younger generation who are looking for eclectic-style pieces as well as the older generation who are looking for traditional pieces. Their items include Chinese antique, vintage and reproduction furniture, ceramics, porcelain, stone statues, art, and other accessories.

7. Just Anthony

Founded in the 1970s, Just Anthony focuses on finding unusual old furniture and presenting a selection of Chinese antique furniture as well as replicas in Singapore. Their old furniture pieces are kept to the original patina as close as possible. Their 15,000-sq-ft showroom stocks an expansive array of Chinese furniture, Oriental accessories, and wall coverings.

8. The Past Perfect Collection

The Past Perfect Collection was established in 2007 and offers antique furniture from the British, Dutch, and Portuguese era in India, as well as Indian antique furniture that remained authentic to its indigenous style.

Their sister store, Woody Teak Collection, offers outdoor synthetic wicker products, resort-style hyacinth furniture, and carvings from Thailand as well as Burmese teak indoor and outdoor furniture.

10. Art Trend Gallery

Art Trend Gallery showcases a collection of Chinese, Burmese, and Thai artifacts, and provides customisation request in materials, designs, and colours. They also provide furniture rental services, and the furniture can be purchased at the end of the rent for a nominal cost.
