Trend We Love: Plant Consoles

Putting your plants on a console is a pretty clever way to display your indoor greenery at home. For one, it keeps your pots from cluttering your floor and tables. Also, you can stylise it to better suit your home’s interior design.

If you’re having troubles on how you can create a nice place for your plant babies, worry no more! Here are some of the coolest console ideas we’ve found for your growing collection of indoor plants:

1. If you have an industrial-style home, get a console that fits the design. Add your greeneries, a couple of throw pillows, vases of fresh flowers, a wooden box for extra storage, and then you're good to go!

2. Using reclaimed wood and black pipes for your console will instantly add warmth to any room. The irregularities in the wood will give your console its own character and charm. Make sure that you clean your wood with a vacuum nozzle with a dusting attachment before using it to keep the dust at bay.

3. However, if you are on a tight budget, the easiest and cheapest way possible for you to have a console for your plants is to use crates. Turn your old crates into something useful by putting these boxes and fill them with plants and other decors that you want to put in.

4. To create visual interest in your plant console, using repetitive elements such as pieces of art, vases, books, and frames will do the magic. Not only will these highlight your console, it will also add symmetry and balance.

5. In the console above, two rows of shelving for the plants were allotted to give them breathing space. Also, it would make your console look a little less cluttered if you do so.

6. Even if you have a ready-made console to house your plants, make sure that you add your personality to it. Be sure to keep it chic and stylish by not letting it blend with each other. You can achieve this by using different coloured planters, in different sizes. Or if you are not feeling your pots, you can upcycle your old teacups and mugs as well as jars to add variety to the display.

7. Of course, you should always be practical when you have limited space. You can use your console to keep two things you love most: plants and books. Use the top of the console to house your plants while the shelving units below can be used as space for your books and other reading materials.

8. If you do not have the time and money to get a new console or have it customised, you can use your unused bench to let a bunch of your plants sit on it. Not only is it a chic piece to play with, it would also give so much rustic, country vibe to your space.
