Where is the Best Region to Live in Singapore as a Family?

Which are the most family-friendly places to live in Singapore? We’ve covered the bases to bring you some of the most family-friendly locations to kick off your search.

1. Central Region

Many elite schools in Singapore are located in the central region, making the area highly desirable for parents with school-going kids.

The Central Region continues to be an attractive location for families, with high transport accessibility, a dynamic environment, and a myriad of entertainment and play options for all.

The upscale residential enclave of Bukit Timah is especially popular with young families, drawn in by its scenic tree-lined streets and laidback charm. Connectivity-wise, the area is served by various MRT stations, including Stevens, Botanic Gardens, and Beauty World along the Downtown Line (DTL), which makes travel especially convenient for residents in the area. The DTL provides a direct connection to the Central Business District (CBD) and the Marina Bay area.

Bukit Timah developments located close to the MRT station include the new condo, Daintree Residence on Toh Tuck road. It is within walking distance from Beauty World MRT station, and is also close to shopping amenities such as Bukit Timah Shopping Centre, Holland Village, West Mall, and Bukit Timah Plaza.

The 43-km TEL will add 31 new stations to the existing rail network, running through neighbourhoods such as Katong Park, Amber, Marine Parade, Siglap, and Bayshore.

Residential developments such as the upcoming Sea Pavilion Residences—located just a stone’s throw from Bayshore MRT station—stand to benefit from the new MRT line both in terms of connectivity and capital appreciation.
