2. Maki-San celebrates the spirit of togetherness this National Day with Harmony Maki

3. IDCS launches Design Excellence Awards 2017 with 12 new categories

The 2017 edition of the Interior Design Confederation Singapore’s (IDCS) Design Excellence Awards (DEA), one of the region’s most anticipated interior design competitions, is now open for entries. The DEA sets to recognise the best of commercial, residential and public design in Singapore and Asia Pacific, endorsing and celebrating the achievements of practitioners and students alike. With DEA, IDCS seeks to champion design excellence, as well as elevate and promote the quality and standards of interior design.

The 5th cycle of the Awards is marked by the introduction of 12 new categories across the two competition tracks: Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for interior designers and firms; as well as Spatial Design Awards (SPADE) for students. Notable new categories include Exhibition Design, Sustainable Design, Environmental Design for both tracks; and IDEA Project of the Year, Emerging ID Firm of the Year, Top 3 ID Firm of the Year and AkzoNobel Colour Award, which are exclusive to IDEA.

4. Hong Leong Assurance Singapore announces travel insurance package Travel Protect360

Hong Leong Assurance Singapore, a multiple award-winning insurtech and approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to underwrite its own products, is pleased to announce Travel Protect360, a travel insurance package offering elements unprecedented and not available at other insurers. 5. Qingjian Realty’s Le Quest fully sold on first day of launch

Le Quest by Qingjian Realty (South Pacific) Group Pte Ltd (Qingjian Realty) opened for sales to an overwhelming response. Two hundred units released for booking in Phase One were snapped up within hours, with close to 280 units sold on the first day of launch on 5 August 2017. Le Quest will house 516 studio and one- to four-bedroom units and over 6,000 square metres of commercial space. Studio to 3-bedroom units were the most popular among buyers who booked their units on the first day of launch. As the only mixed-use development in Bukit Batok, Le Quest will bring heightened convenience to homeowners and residents in the neighbourhood with close to 100 F&B, services and lifestyle retail units.
