1. Interior Design Confederation Singapore (IDCS) launches Singapore’s first-ever Interior Design Festival. To be held from 4 to 11 March, the inaugural Interior Design Festival will be a platform for professionals to learn more about their profession from their peers in the industry, and for others to understand more about interior design as a profession. The festival, which is part of Singapore Design Week 2017, will feature daily educational programmes for both interior design professionals and the public. A key event is the signing of the Interior Designers Code of Professional Conduct, Singapore’s first-ever consolidated effort to attain a pledge and commitment from interior design firms and professionals to uphold the values and ethos of the profession. IDCS will also hold their first Interior Design Exhibition showcasing the works of Gold Winners from the prestigious Design Excellence Awards conducted in October 2016.
