The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland responsible for the body’s metabolism. Some people have no idea they have a thyroid problem while others ignore the symptoms thinking the will go away. Here are some signs you might be suffering from a thyroid disease:

1. You either snooze less or more often.

Another important nutrient your thyroid needs is fiber especially for those suffering from weight gain and constipation. Fiber-rich food includes beans, carrots, oats, spinach, and sweet potato, among others. Zinc, which you can get from eating chicken and beef, is also key to a well-functioning thyroid.
