It's that time of the year when we list down our resolutions. Why not do it also for your home? Here are our suggestions:

1. Make it greener by starting a home garden.
Small space? You can always go vertical. We've listed down 6 reasons to grow a vertical garden. Don't know anything about HDB herb farming? Here's a beginner's guide. There's also a list of what to plant indoors and outdoors. Eat healthy (and save some moolah in the process!) by using any of the 12 edible herbs you planted as part of your cooking ingredients.

2. Clean it the natural and eco-friendly way.
Cleaning can be quite a chore, but it does bring rewarding benefits. Although conventional tools help you maintain a clean home, they can sometimes be hazardous. It's time to switch to earth-friendly cleaners that make your home shine and sparkle nonetheless! Green cleaning doesn't mean you need to sacrifice scrubbing power. We've got a whole list of how to deep clean your home the natural and green way.

3. Use budget-friendly methods to update its look.
You don't have to break the bank to spruce up your home and make it beautiful. There are countless quick and easy ways to prettify the living room, bathroom, dining room, and even the outdoor space. You just have to be creative (flex those DIY muscles) and resourceful (think: upcycling and repurposing).

4. Make it fully functional by clearing the clutter and maximising spaces.
Some things (procrastination?) may be preventing you from being organised at home. Don't give up on yourself and start decluttering so you can make the most of these usually cluttered spaces: pantry, closet, bathroom, and bedroom.

5. Turn it into a comfortable abode for everyone.
Unless you're all by yourself, you need to make living in that home comfortable and blissful for everyone—the elderly, your pets, those with low vision, and those suffering from asthma and eczema. Make necessary adjustments in your decors and home design to address their specific needs.

6. Renovate to increase its value.
Not all renovations are created equal. There are some that actually increase the value of your home, and these should be the projects you should get into, especially if you plan on selling your home in the future. Before you get started though, ask yourself first these questions to guide you on your renovation journey.

7. Maintain a dreamy bedroom you'd love to stay in.

We spend a third of our lives in our bedrooms, so it's a no-brainer that you should keep it clean and serene. Take steps to ensure you've got a bedroom that is all sorts of dreamy, one that will make you just want to snuggle under those comfy sheets every single time.
