Can’t get enough of the magical world of Harry Potter? Here are some ideas to recreate their world in your homes:

Floating candles. The Great Hall is one of the most iconic locations in Hogwarts, which was lit by thousands of floating candles over four long tables, laid with gold plates and goblets.

As it will be a fire hazard to use real candles, use an electronic tea light instead and fit them into a paper towel roll. For a dripping candle look, apply glue with a hot glue gun and let the glue drip. To recreate the starry sky as seen in the Great Hall, secure a dark blue glitter tulle onto the ceiling. String these candles with a fishing line and hook them onto the tulle.

Hall of portraits. In the scene where the students learned about the moving stairs, the students were faced with talking oil portraits of previous headmasters and professors, famous wizards and witches, and many more. If you do not have the luxury of space like Hogwarts, consider decorating your corridor with different sizes of wooden photo frames.

Owl Key Holder. Want an owl to deliver your mail but too busy to keep one? If keeping a pet owl is too much hassle, this night owl key holder will keep a watch on your keys. Take away the keys and the owl goes back to sleep.

Four-poster bed with drapery. In the dormitory located inside the tower, each student has his or her own four-poster bed, a set of window, and space for personal belongings. Drape the frames of your four-poster bed with curtains of any of the four house colours: scarlet and gold for Gryffindor, yellow and black for Hufflepuff, emerald green and silver for Slytherin, and blue and bronze for Ravenclaw.
