4. FWD Singapore launches innovative Home Insurance

FWD Insurance, Singapore’s leading digital insurer has once again surprised the industry by launching a brand new way to look at Home Insurance. In so doing, they have provided consumers with an innovative product that can be bought instantly online, and with prices starting from just $31 a year.

“A person’s property is typically their largest asset owned, and the contents that makes that house a home are just as valuable,” said Abhishek Bhatia, Chief Executive Officer of FWD Singapore. “With the recent reports of home fires, our Home Insurance provides coverage and peace of mind that, should anything happen to one’s home, they’ll be able to get back on their feet as quickly as possible.”

“Having heard from customers, FWD Home insurance challenged all the norms for Home Insurance, working hard to eliminate hidden or unnecessary costs with three revolutionary features not found in other standard policies—Zero excess, Incidental expenses and workmanship coverage,” said Bhatia.

What this means for customers is that no excess is required for a claim due to burst pipes or fire. FWD will also cover incidental expense such as meals and even laundry so that customers can get back on their feet in no time. FWD even guarantees any repairs or renovations done (resulting from an insured event) by their recommended contractors for up to 6 months from the date of completion of the repairs or renovations. The highly anticipated annual Milan Furniture Fair (Salone del Mobile Milano) will be held on 17 to 22 April, showcasing international, innovative and high end designs, while flagging on trend concepts and ways of working to the international design community. King Living, award winning contemporary Australian furniture designer, manufacturer and retailer, will exhibit at Local Milan by Local Design for the first time, unveiling a brand new lighting collection in collaboration with Charles Wilson.

The standing lights have an innovative control mechanism integrated into the stem allowing them to be turned on and off or dimmed by touch. This year, King Living’s lead designer and trend expert, Tanya Rechberger will be on the ground in Milan and available for media interviews, offering insights into upcoming trends and how consumers can incorporate them into their homes, as well as behind the scenes insights from the fair.
