5. Singapore is first in the world to launch no-burn iron

In celebration of National Day, Philips launched its rose gold Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus (GC8962/46) pressurized steam generator iron featuring its patented OptimalTEMP technology that guarantees no burns on all ironable fabrics. Launching in Singapore ahead of the rest of the world, Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus features the OptimalTEMP technology, a breakthrough innovation of the Singapore based Garment Care Innovation and Development (I&D) team. Garment Care is the only business unit to have its innovation centre in Singapore, which innovates and develops for world-wide markets.

OptimalTEMP technology, the industry leading innovation by Philips, uses a Smart Control Processor to heat steam to an optimal temperature to iron any fabric, saving you the hassle of pre-sorting laundry or waiting for the iron to heat up and cool down. In case you forget to remove the iron from your clothes while ironing, the Smart Control Processor uses regulated temperature settings to guarantee no burns. Offering a maximum of 7.5 bar pressure, which refers to the amount of steam pressure generated and up to 120g/ min steam rate with a 520g steam boost, the Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus delivers a constant high flow of pressurised steam which cuts ironing time by penetrating more layers of the garment and relaxing fabric fibres instantly.

The Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus ultra-lightweight iron allows for easy ironing, reducing wrist strain. Also, its minimal weight makes it easy and effective for vertical steaming of curtains and hanging clothes. The Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus GC8962/46 is available at the Philips e-store, leading electronics stores, major department stores and selected authorised dealers for $499 (UP: $599). Purchases of the Philips PerfectCare Expert Plus are also entitled to a free laundry bag. For more information, please visit www.philips.com.sg.
