LG rolls out Apple Airplay 2 on 2019 ThinQ AI TVs

LG announced that Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit are available on its 2019 AI TV lineup, making LG the first global TV manufacturer to support HomeKit. These Apple features will be available through a firmware update for 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs, and UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability.

The Table Guy launches a new design label and inaugural National Day Product

Just in time for National Day, local furniture shop The Table Guy will launch its new design label, The Atas Workshop, on 9 Aug 2019 along with its inaugural National Day Product (NDP): The #1.

Led by local furniture designer Darren Mok, The Atas Workshop will not only add another distinctly Singaporean voice to global industrial design, but it will eventually build a regional design cooperative, where niche craftsmen in all disciplines can come together and create thoughtful products for customers' contemporary taste.

Its inaugural product, The #1, was designed to utilise as much material from a single white oak board as possible, leaving minimal wastage, which follows The Table Guy’s principles of environmental consciousness and prudent design. Available in two sizes, the 700mm (diameter) x 450mm (height) is priced at $700 while the 1,200mm (diameter) x 750mm (height) table is priced at $1,500. You can view the product and order it from 9 Aug 2019 to 6 Oct 2019, at 122 Eunos Avenue 7 Richfield Industrial Centre. Meanwhile, The Atas Workshop will launch its first furniture collection in Q1 2020.

IKEA evokes emotions through its TÄNKVÄRD collection

With the recent heatwave felt throughout the country, being on the beach is what everyone hopes for. But since it's too hot to go outside, IKEA brings the beach your home through its new collection.

With its vibrant blue hues and rattan material, TÄNKVÄRD evokes a sense of peacefulness and tranquillity that brings sunny days on the beach to mind. Made solely from sustainable natural materials and fibres such as rattan, cotton, and linen, TÄNKVÄRD is tactile, memorable, and beautiful. They are all light and easy to move around the home, meeting varied needs in rooms and will allow you to cater to all kinds of situations. Rattan’s flexibility and sturdiness and smooth texture compliment the cosy and cool hues of the different TÄNKVÄRD textiles.

A blend of Scandinavian freshness and Japanese calm, all the pieces have that slightly patinated look that will feel and look even better after being loved for years to come, making them timeless and unforgettable. Head on down to an IKEA near you to bring TÄNKVÄRD back home with you. Visit IKEA.com.sg or the stores for more inspiration.
